Working with the whole Person
I work in a simple, uncomplicated way as I myself do not like complications and I aim to help my clients see new possibilities within their lives. Of course, confidentiality is key and your confidential issues will be respected. I see my client as a ‘whole person’, not just dealing with what may happen in their thoughts but also how their issues affect them physically such as loss of sleep, panic attacks, lethargy, pain and OCD issues. Some people may also have lost a feeling of spiritual sense which may be very valuable therefore, looking at the person ‘holistically’ is really important. By building a positive relationship with your therapist, you will be able to explore new options and choices for yourself. Having the chance to explore thoughts and feelings can open-up new paths that you did not realise existed and this can be a tough, yet rewarding journey. Making that first step towards seeing a Counsellor is probably a difficult call however, many of my clients have said that after making that first step they can now see the positive changes that they otherwise would not have made.
